Ping G440 HL Fairway Wood - MAX

The G440 fairway family (MAX, LST, SFT) advances PING’s reputation as a Tour-preferred model of choice through a re-designed face structure and low CG system.

The face is taller for more confidence off the tee while maintaining a CG location that delivers high launching performance off the ground. The face thickness is optimised in the heel and toe regions for more consistent performance on on-centre strikes.

Each model is designed to fit a specific player type with a head profile engineered to provide launch conditions that best match a player’s swing. Slimming down the back-weight profile ensures that the club sits flush to the ground and the face angle remains consistent – no matter the loft or lie setting – allowing golfers to benefit from the multiple loft and lie options provided by the adjustable hosel.

Common to all three models (MAX, LST, SFT), the CarbonFly Wrap crown saves weight, which is re-allocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.

The lightweight, 8-position hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results. Five lofts in the MAX (3, 4, 5, 7 & 9 woods), three in SFT (3, 5, 7) and two in LST (3, 5) ensure multiple options to properly gap a set.

The MAX model is an all-round performer, available in five lofts (including a new 4-wood) to provide excellent gapping coverage. The MAX face is 4% taller than its predecessor for more confidence off the tee while maintaining a low CG position for high-launching performance off the ground.

G440 HL is ideal for slower swing speed golfers who don’t generate sufficient clubhead speed and ball velocity from traditionally weighted clubs. Utilising lighter components, the overall weight of the clubs are reduced so golfers can swing faster, generating more ball speed for higher launch and enhanced carry distance.
